Stuff Nobody Tells You About Wearing Grillz —Eating, Kissing, Talking

Shops will happily tell you how shiny a grill looks. What they don’t tell you is what it’s actually like to live in one for an evening. The little stuff. The questions you’d feel awkward asking out
loud but absolutely type into Google at 1am.

So let’s answer them — properly, and with zero judgement.

Can you eat with grillz in?

Short version: you can, but you shouldn’t make a habit of it. Grillz are jewellery, not cutlery.
Eating with them in traps food against your teeth and isn’t great for hygiene or for the grill itself.

The move is simple: pop them out before a proper meal, keep them somewhere safe (not
wrapped in a napkin you’ll throw away — yes, people do this), and put them back after.
Snacking on something light? You’ll survive. A full Sunday roast? Take them out.

Will I talk weird?

For the first hour or so, maybe a little. Your tongue notices the new surface and your S’s might
feel slightly different. This is completely normal and it passes fast.

The fix is just practice. Talk to yourself, read something out loud, have a normal conversation.
Within a day or two your mouth adjusts and you stop noticing it entirely. By the end of the first
wear most people forget it’s even there.

The kissing question

We’ll just say it, because everyone wonders: yes, you can kiss with a grill in. A well-fitted,
smooth removable piece sits flush against your teeth and isn’t the obstacle people imagine.
